Make your make-up last until the party ends...or longer

Model with dewy makeup

We’ve all had the experience of going out to a party with friends and by the end of the night having our makeup smudged and smeared by the time you’ve left. So here are some tips to keep your makeup in place and you looking fabulous till the party’s over.

Use an Eyeshadow Primer Eyeshadow can smear and crease easily, especially if you’re on the dance floor all night. Eyeshadow primer is a great product to help enhance the color of your eyeshadow to truly make the colors pop and to keep your eyeshadow in place. I recommend Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin, there’s some sparkle to it, which is great for a party look.Put the eyeshadow primer all over the lid, beneath the eye, under the brow bone and at the inside corner of the eye near the nose. When it’s used on lids, the eyeshadow color holds, but when it’s used under the brow bone and at the corner of the eye the primer becomes a highlighter.

Use Lip Liner First, apply whatever you use for foundation or tinted moisturizer, and then use a lip liner and line your lips. I recommend MAC lip liners in colors such as cherry for a nice red. The lip liner helps to prevent bleeding, and always remember that the lip color you choose to fill your lips with should be a shade lighter than your lip liner.

Try a Spray Once you’ve finished your look and are ready to get out for the night, spray your face three or four times with a makeup setting spray to make sure everything stays in place. I recommend Makeup Forever’s Mist & Fix or Urban Decay’s All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.

The next time you’re ready to hit the dance floor with your girlfriends or going to a fun concert that involves lots of dancing, try these tips and let me know how they work for you! What’s your makeup trick to help your makeup last all day?
